Some days start normal and stay that way.

"Well that's new" usually gets said right before somebody starts investigating a problem that didn't exist ten minutes ago. A new sound. A new light on the dashboard. A new leak finding its way downhill.

Nobody's excited about new in this situation.

The experienced people don't panic. They just stare at it for a second and start narrowing down expensive possibilities.

Because if something suddenly starts doing something new, it was probably working on that idea for a while.

Funny how problems rarely send announcements.
