The Plan Had Potential | Road Crew Apparel Co
The plan had potential. The execution developed its own ideas.
You can usually tell when things start drifting. The timeline gets flexible. The instructions become optional. Someone says, “We’ll figure it out,” with a level of confidence unsupported by recent events.
That explains a lot.
Every group has a moment when the original plan quietly exits and improvisation takes over. It happens on road trips, at cookouts, during home projects, and anywhere optimism arrives ahead of preparation.
The interesting part is that the plan itself was not unreasonable.
The environment simply had feedback.
By the end, nobody is entirely sure what changed first—the circumstances or the strategy. Yet somehow everyone agrees the outcome was “close enough,” despite substantial evidence to the contrary.
The plan deserved better.
Reality had scheduling conflicts.
