The information was not encouraging, but we proceed anyway.

Everybody saw the weather. Everybody heard the noise. Somebody mentioned that it didn’t seem right. A brief discussion happened. Nothing changed.

This was avoidable.

Some plans reach a point where turning back would require more effort than continuing forward. At that stage, confidence becomes less about certainty and more about momentum.

You see it at cookouts when the grill starts making unfamiliar sounds. During road trips when the dashboard introduces a new light. Halfway through home projects that were supposed to take twenty minutes.

The facts have been presented.

The outcome has made its own decision.

Not every situation inspires confidence. Some simply inspire participation. And somehow, a group of otherwise reasonable adults decides this remains an acceptable course of action.
